Corso teorico pratico di erboristeria, floriterapia, botanica e cultura del paesaggio con
Karin Mecozzi, Biancarosa Romano, Fabio Taffetani
e Franco Barbadoro
L’incontro è dedicato al miracolo del fiore che rende la pianta un individuo. Nel fiore la pianta si apre al cosmo, al mondo animale, ai nostri sensi dando colore al paesaggio, dentro e fuori di noi.
Il corso è aperto a tutti gli interessati, prevede lezioni teoriche e pratiche e passeggiate di osservazione e raccolta in natura.
Argomenti del corso:
• Dalla foglia al fiore: erboristeria stagionale, erbe e piante medicinali da raccogliere e trasformare
• Botanica e ecologia del paesaggio appenninico, passeggiata conoscitiva.
• Le essenze floreali del grande Edward Bach: il suo concetto di salute e la floriterapia, dal fiore alla preparazione
• Il mondo in una montagna. Le ricerche di Dom Raffaele Piccinini e la flora, la storia e la cultura del Monte Catria. Franco Barbadoro

To practise landscape observation is always inspiring for me, even in a cold and grey afternoon. Looking at buds,every little leaf, piece of bark and also under hedges and trees in search of fresh nettles: how interesting is it to see what is going on right now, outside. Specially if we practise with a group as we did yesterday in the botanical garden “Orto Botanico Selva di Gallignano” near Ancona (University of Ancona UNIPVM). Nature still seems sleepy, but the green grain on the fields and all those tiny buds suggest that spring is not so far. So don’t give up!
There are places in the Apennines where you immediately feel at ease, a silent beauty and simplicity touches your soul.
No loud roads nor cars, no hurry, no ugly peripheries. 
A view like thousand miracles instead, warm sunrays meet my considerations about landscape, I turn my gaze toward hills, green fields and small villages, parishes and castles.
This is the very heart of the Italian Apennines. The villages were enlivened by solid comunities until recently, but now.. I see no kids playing, just hear a dog barking far away and sheep bleating. Far away, a tractor draws his lines on the field. Agriculture is still alive, but there is a lack of young farmers. 
After the big earthquake of 2016 and 2017 (and even before) people fled to the major towns or even to the coast.
But now, a year after the tragedy, I dare ask: what can be done to help these places to revive? Which are the dreams, which necessities can enable women and men to get back, to start a new life here again, with an own business, young and old, in these 
wonderful counties?
Siamo quasi arrivati! E’ settembre, ed ecco l’appuntamento autunnale con l’erboristeria e la cultura del paesaggio con un corso un po’ particolare: “Terra Madre”, dedicato a lei, alla madre terra, generatrice e anche matrigna.
Our next course in the Monastery Fonte Avellana, in the Apennines, dedicated to our first Mother, mother earth. She feeds us -and destroys us. Let us experience her rhythms in autumn in this particular place, up in our mountains.
